2019 MerB’ys Calendar

It's happening again! After the astonishing success of last year's calendar, Chudworth is proud to be participating in the 2019 MerB'ys Charity Calendar! This year will be bigger and better in every way - get on over to The Newfoundland & Labrador Beard and Moustache Club's page and sign up for updates!

20180712 Update: The The Newfoundland & Labrador Beard and Moustache Club has announced that proceeds from this year's calendar will be donated to Violence Prevention - Avalon East! Stay tuned for pre-order information to help support this amazing charity!

Here at Chudworth, we believe strongly in the principle of inclusivity. We all are equal, and we all deserve an equal opportunity for our voices to be heard. To help our global community become more inclusive, Chudworth is proud to offer donations of web and email hosting to groups whose main goal is the advancement of rights or opportunities for the disadvantaged or under-represented. If you are a member of a group that is working to be heard, let us help you establish a platform. Contact us with an introduction to your group and goals and we'll contact you with how we may be able to help.

Like most businesses these days, Chudworth advertises online. As wonderful as it is, the internet also contains some pretty heinous stuff. We do subscribe to several blacklist services to keep our ads off known hate platforms but no list is perfect. If you ever do notice an ad of ours being served beside questionable content please don't hesitate to reach out. If you aren't 100% certain, reach out anyway - we would rather spend the time researching and come up empty than have our ad money supporting platforms that oppress others. Our ad money is small potatoes in the grand scheme of the internet, but every little bit counts. Let businesses know that you won't stand for supporting hatred, directly or otherwise.

Completed Projects

Chudworth is thrilled to have the opportunity to donate a laptop and email hosting to the folks at Fogbank Radio to support their work! This fresh, community-oriented organisation is an exciting new project in St. John's. Check them out!

2018 MerB’ys Calendar

When we heard the folks over at the Newfoundland & Labrador Beard & Moustache Club were putting together a fundraiser for Spirit Horse NL, we knew we had to help. When we learned that the plan was to challenge toxic masculinity through delightful bearded MerB'ys, the boss got so excited that he wound up agreeing to take his shirt off in public. Calendars can be purchased through the NLBMC or here at our retail location with proceeds going to help the incredible mental health programs being offered by Spirit Horse. It's a great thing for a great cause!

UPDATE 2018-01-13: Calendar sales are complete and the results are in. Thanks to the amazing hard work of the members of the NL Beard & Moustache Club, the MerB'ys calendar raised over $300,000.00 in support of Spirit Horse NL! Take a look at this great infographic for more details!

SPANL Stocking Drive

It's never easy for single parents, and the holidays are frequently even harder. We have partnered with the folks at Project Kindness to collect stocking stuffers to help brighten some Christmas mornings here in the province. Donations can be dropped at our retail location. All stocking-type items are accepted, such as toiletries, small toys, games, gift cards, or whatever else you think might bring a smile to a child's face this season.

UPDATE 2017-12-16: The stocking goodies have been picked up, and the drive has been a great success. Thank you to all our kind customers who donated! Full details here!
